I loved the banter of the main characters. And of course the dual narration is always a winner. MFC was strong willed and able to handle her new husband better than her family. Even though I've only finished the second book of the series I feel it is worth the credit.

He shows more respect to the mfc than in the 1 st book. I appreciate that he can respect his wife, while still being dominate and possessive.

She had a tragedy in her past and all it took to overcome 🥴 get real.

I loved that the mfc was sassy and stayed try to get sarcastic self! possessive mmc.

I am loving this series and so far, this is my fav couple. I purchased the Audio version and was so happy the narrators for all books in the series are done by Kai Kennicott & Wen Ross. He is in my top 3 fav male narrators and I love how he sounds ave appropriate, whereas many do not. As for the book & characters. Aleks and Harper are fierce! I love how she stood her ground and he didn’t push her when he realized she had been attacked when she was younger. Even tho the books in this series are stand alone, it is clear that there is a bigger story culminating in each edition, which is a nice Easter egg.
