This has to be the hottest—nay, the HOTTEST f/f ice queen/older woman/I didn’t know I was gay romance novel yet.
It took a few chapters for me to warm up to the Southern accent, but I really couldn’t hear accents for long, due to the pulse in my face/heart palpitations/stirring in various body parts, etc.
It’s high praise to the author and orator when it’s 3:30am and I have no intention of turning the book off or going to bed...

The Cinderella story, well written story and characters are well developed. If Roslyn Sinclair wrote more books and they are narrated like this one I would like to listen to them all. A great listening.

I don’t believe I’ve ever read a lesfic story with an hea ending but without a declaration of love. And I’m not a prude when it comes to erotica. But the sex often didn’t advance the story and often missed conveying a connection while over emphasizing the technical details. Even so, I enjoyed the story.

It’s cute, but I have to agree with some other reviews that say the whole thing at the end wrapped up way too fast. At the beginning, I didn’t know if I was going to be able to stand the “southern accent”… it sounded too much like a caricature of a southerner. Someone else said that they couldn’t get behind the voice or Lori because it didn’t sound like she was in her 20s. My biggest issue was the image/description of Lori, with her blonde hair and blue eyes, didn’t match the voice/actor she sounded more like a woman of color… so I ignored every time the author described her and listened to the entire book picturing her as African-American 😂. Trust me and do yourself a favor, Lori needs to be a person of color

legitimately my fave audiobook. I have listened to this book no less than 5 time already. so captivating , so much passion, such a great performance. 100p recommend.
