I was supposed to die by a knife through my heart that night.

But the stars of Verenthia have a different plan for me—which is to get kidnapped by a snow-white lynx that shouldn't even be real, and held hostage by a sentient building.

Yes, I said building. For real.

Rune is gone. The lifebond with the Seelie Prince is broken. And I'm trapped in a court of frost and silence, hunted by a damn truth that refuses to stay buried.

And it all ties back to a dead queen whose face I just so happen to wear.

Now I have to uncover who she was, what she did both to herself and to me, and why. Because something is stirring in Verenthia, something ancient that I am most definitely not prepared for.

As luck would have it, nobody gives a shit about my feelings, but that's okay. I'm nothing if not stubborn, and I do manage to find my way to Rune eventually. I even ended up meeting his dad.

Not the smartest move I could have made, though.

Because it turns out, the Midnight King doesn't like surprises. Especially the kind that look like me.

This series is right up there with The Legacy series by Melissa K. Roerhrich
It is a completed series but book 4 isn’t available on Audible which was a bummer

Most underrated series ever!

I have to admit that I wasn’t sure where this book was headed after all that Nilah and Rune have already been through in books 1 and 2, especially with how book 2 ended.

Fractured definitely set the stage for what was to come during the last 2% of the book. It was a bit slower in pace and there were more questions than actual answers for most of it. However, that did not diminish my interest or intrigue in this series at all.

That ending though- talk about a plot twist! D.N. Hoxa writes the absolute best cliffhangers and ALWAYS leaves me full of anticipation and eager to continue a series / start the next book.

I can’t wait to see how the Royal Sins series wraps up in book 4!
