This book had everything I didn’t know I wanted - dry wit, romance, friendship, and so much more. I enjoyed every bit of it and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!!

I had a blast listening to this book!! That must sound so freaking lame to some people but I swear the best way to describe this book is FUN!! The authors sense of humor and sarcasm and writing style are so freaking engaging and I couldn't stop listening to it! I love her!! The character were awesome the storyline super cute and the dialogue!! OMG THE DIALOGUE!!</b> I have laughed thru out the whole book, all the characters are a trip!

I listened to this book for that first time years ago and since then I've listened to at least 50 times more. I have over 800 audiobooks in my library and SEP is always my go to when I'm broke and don't have a new book or when i just cant pick a new book. No matter how many times i listen to it it always gets like its the first time. I laugh though the entire book! Can a book makes you deliriously happy? I mean, it just a book right? No!! Every time listen to this book I feel deliriously happy its ridiculous! I literally grin like a fool through the whole book but lets talk about the narrator. SEP and Anna Fields is a match made in heaven!

Good romantic comedy, Brillant narration

This is the 7th installment of "Chicago Stars" I have listened to. Ms. Phillips is the master of the romantic comedy, all containing a great cast of widely varied, unique, and compelling characters. The storyline is a roller coaster ride of hilarious adventures, love, and life crises. Although not as fast paced as the prior 6, it's still great entertainment.
I cannot praise enough the narration by Ms. Fields (Kate Fleming). She enlivens each character with a unique blend of emotion, style, and snark, and maintains constancy of the various character voices throughout the book. Her brilliant storytelling brings the story to life. My greatest compliment of her performances is that her as narrator will as often as not make me purchase a new Audible listen.
