USA Today best-selling author K. A. Linde returns to the Royal Houses series with House of Shadows: the story of Kerrigan Argon, a half-Fae, half-human as she seeks her place in an unforgiving world filled with magic, mayhem, and romance. Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Holly Black, and V. E. Schwab.

Kerrigan Argon, a half-human, half-Fae, has joined the Dragon Society against almost everyone's wishes.

A year of training is required with her dragon.

First, she must travel with the dark Fae prince, Fordham Ollivier, back to his home in the House of Shadows. Nothing but slavery and death has ever awaited a half-Fae in their halls.

But something is wrong within their wicked world. A thousand year old spell is weakening. Cracks forming in the foundation. And Kerrigan may just be their ruin or their salvation.

I loved everything about this book. Kerrigan is strong and handles all that is thrown at her. The romance aspect leaves me a little frustrated. Great world building.

Excellent sequel

I will forever read all and every single one of her books. I love every moment of it.

After a year’s long wait, I devoured this installment into a world I love so much and it did not disappoint!

We once again meet up with Kerrigan & Fordham as they venture briefly into the House of Shadows before returning for a year-long training with the other Society initiates.

But things never go as planned and So Much Happens!! Revolutions, Learning Strange Magic, Dragon Bonding, Returning Nasty Betrothed, Balls, Kissing, Other Types of Bonding😜,War, Moles In Our Midst!!😱

Scales, It Was Wonderful!! Gods, I Cannot Wait For The Next Book!! I was fortunate enough to find the author’s other YA series, The Ascension Series, after all the books were completed (which I also highly recommend) but I’ll be suffering until Book 3, House of Curses, publishes!😭

If you love stories with Fae, dragons, romance, political intrigue, social injustice, amazing characters, and excellent world-building then this series is for you!

And, once again, Amy McFadden gives an incredible narration performance!! Don’t miss this series!

Excellent Sequel in The Royal Houses Series!!

High stakes, good balance of action, love, politics, mystery, and multiple character POVs. The reveal at the end was not a surprise to me though, I saw it coming from the first book. Doesn’t bother me, still obsessed and ready to keep listening!

Loving this series

Each book in the series gets better and better. This one is nothing as I expected. People you thought were allies are the enemy. People you thought were the enemy are now you ally. Nothing is as at seems and there are more twists, turns and surprises around each corner.

Amy McFadden did another amazing job narrating. She put loads of heart and emotion into all these characters.

And holy cliffhanger did I not see that one coming. Thank the gods I could dive right into book 3 because that one was a doozie. KA Linde is killing it with this series. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it.

Amazing Follow Up
