Funny and Poignant

I laughed and I cried and I laughed til I cried. This book has all the “feels”! I’ve been through very similar hard times and this book was like having a best friend who “gets” me, gets where I’ve been, gets how I feel and somehow made me laugh about it all! True Beautiful Therapy!!!

Awesome!

Heather Land is funny and serious and you can tell the difference! This book was great, and I especially liked hearing it in her own voice. Some spots really should have had the filter included, but if you use your imagination you can hear it, and you will laugh harder! Kudos Heather thank you and I can’t wait for the next!

Loved it!

I’m an Uostate New Yorker originally, but have lived in North Carolina for 24 years. The sound of the author’s voice adds to a fabulous story.

Entertaining

Really enjoyed the humor and relatable stories. I actually laughed out loud many times 😂 Great!!

I didn't want the book to end

I loved every minute of the book. When Heather was wrapping up the last chapter, I wanted to hear more of her life experiences. My life is very different from hers, yet her stories brought back my own treasured memories of family, friends and shenanigans. I listen to audible books when I run. While listening to this book, I frequently laughed until I cried. I gave up trying to compose myself while laughing and crying in public. At the end of the book, she helped me realize how thankful I am for the risks I have taken in life that brought me to where I am today. I just bought Heather's second audio book, and I am very much looking forward to listening to it.
