I haven't fallen down in days. That may not seem like much, but my God, it's such an accomplishment. Being made to stand and kneel repeatedly while he performs his rituals is exhausting, and I'm pretty sure that the welts on the bottoms of my feet are ready to pop. My knees. They're bruised, covered in dry blood and cuts; but I won't fall down. I can't fall down; that means he wins again and I get put down in the oubliette. Being in the dark never scared me; being alone was something I used to cherish until he took me. I just want to find the light now. I want to find the warm place that he tells me so much about - the place where he says all of this pain will make sense. I won't fall down again. I can't. Not before I find my peace in the light. I have to do it soon because I'm not sure how much more I can take. Miserere mei sunt.

And so it begins

Book 1 in the Inferno series, this is actually my re-read of the entire series, I rated them previously, but will be reviewing them as well this time around.

Here we are introduced to the man himself...Pater...the father...the patriach....the man.

We see how he treats his daughter and sons and please oh please read responsibly. This series is not for those with triggers or those faint at heart. This series is beyond dark romance, it is erotic horror at its finest.

This time around I indulged in the audio and really enjoyed it. Stephi Lawrence really did a great job. Thank you Stephi for taking a difficult read and bringing it to life.

Dark and Demented

This was a really great performance by the narrator she does a great job at doing male voices and I like that she's so talented. The story is is something unique for me to read in a way that it's not my usual genre but it was a well-crafted story and a very original idea. This writer has a talent for weaving together a very detailed while develop plot with characters and story in the short amount of time that is a true gift and it shows in this story. No I'm not into doing spoilers so I'm not going to give anything away from the plot but if you enjoy a dark and demented but original type of literature this would be great for you. This character goes through a lot of emotions and you are taken on that ride with her when she aches you ache when she's mad you're mad and all of that. I recommend this book for those who enjoy a dark demented Tale.

I loved this story when I read the book but OMG hearing it was just mind blowing goodness
I totally recommend this for all who love horror

creepy creepy but so so good

there are so many disturbing parts of this story, I wouldn't know where to begin with b the warnings. but it was so good in could not stop until I found out how it all ended.

Twisted!

I was completely in shock with this book. I'm really rooting for the FMC I hope that she gets out but looking at the other books I am not so sure. I am sure since the way the book ends I need to read the rest.

This guy is SICK though like I thought something completely different the whole time about their relationship, it went sooooo much deeper! Something I really wasn't expecting!

Overall if your into Dark this will be for you but don't read if you don't like dark and twisted. There is also animal cruelty.
