4 part series Excellence

I read all four parts of this series in a row and I wonder if it wouldn’t have been a nicer book to go 40 hours long and just be done with it. I appreciate the vocabulary nomenclature proper pronunciation, wonderful accents. The narrator could do everything Welsh to Italian to French to English to Scottish it was just marvelous. What a history lesson.

Excellent as Always!

New story line that I am really enjoying! Looking forward to more adventures of Sur John Hawkworth.

Don't waste your credit or time! Wish I could give negative stars.

Who wrote this book? It's a complete insult to readers who have followed the series. One wonders how Michael, who was rescued from a dungeon and joins the company and was there when seven somethings Dai was taken from his widowed mother to fight those who killed his father suddenly becomes the younger member. I think the author has too many irons in the fire.

Continues to be terrible

I’m not sure why I have continued listening to this series. It continues to get worse and worse. Not only is there no real plot, just sudden battles out of no where, but a main character was either 1) completely forgotten about, 2) the author, or whomever wrote the book, didn’t know who the character was so they put them in a different role, or 3) got two characters confused and switched them.

Please do not waste your time or money on this series. I’m upset because I bought each book and have only listened this far out of principle.

And to top it all off, the writing is subpar. I think it could be a great story, but there is no feeling to it. The author also has his favorite phrases which you will notice because they are said within the same paragraph about the same thing, verbatim.

This is all-in-all a terrible book and series. Please do not waste your time.
