Sweyn Skull Taker, his uncle, becomes his foster father and they raid Wessex and Frankia, where the young warrior becomes a man. King Sweyn Forkbeard, the king of Denmark, uses their clan to help in his dream of defeating the Norwegians and then taking the throne of England. Sven becomes part of those plans, but when he takes possession of a fabled Dragon Sword, his life changes and he becomes greater than his father could ever have dreamed.

Set in the late 10th century, the Danelaw Saga follows the hugely successful Dragonheart series and precedes the Saxon trilogy, Housecarl.

Good story. I enjoy reading about the time period of the book. I hope there is a follow-up book to this one.

Excellent Author and Narrator Collaboration

Griff Hosker has become one of my favorite authors. His stories are gritty and his characters are memorable. Sven Bersisson gains notoriety amongst his Viking family after the death of his father and brothers. The narrator expresses these stories beautifully and I look forward to the second book in this series.

This is “good” Griff Hosker.

Hosker can be hit or miss - to be expected for a writer who cranks them out one after the other. But this is a good one and a series I will look forward to following.

Danish Viking Saga- Highly Recommended

If you are a fan of the tv shows The Last Kingdom or Vikings then this is a no-brainer. Get it! You will not be disappointed.
