A kingdom at war. A girl with a gift. A destiny to be revealed.

Your new romantic fantasy obsession awaits in this captivating epic adventure, perfect for fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout and Sarah J. Maas.

The sky is a dangerous place for a girl without wings.

In the war-torn kingdom of Lordach, Ezer has spent two years as the Ravenminder of Rendegard. Chained in a prison tower’s aviary, she pays the debts of the man she calls uncle, who rescued her after shadow wolves killed her parents. With three glittering scars on her cheek and mystical “strangeties” unlike any magic in their world, Ezer is haunted by dreams of her death at the hands of an unknown warrior.

Then a Sacred Knight arrives to recruit Ezer for the fight against the enemy, the Acolyte. When her affinity with birds reveals itself on the journey to the Citadel, she is given a new mission: to help the Prince of Lordach tame one of the Acolyte’s captured raphons. Half giant raven, half black panther, these creatures are as loyal to the Acolyte as his strongest darksoul soldiers … and only they can make the flight to infiltrate his lair.

While Ezer forges an unbreakable bond with the raphon, her heart becomes torn between the loyal Knight and the mysterious Prince. But as her dreams take on new clarity, she finds herself faced with a choice and a question: has the darkness been her destiny all along?

I loved the lush atmosphere the author created a beautiful world, and characters were fully fleshed out. Lindsey Cummings wrote a world and very complicated characters that I can't wait to visit again. What a wonderful story. It got me out of a reading slump. I loved the narrator too.

I love Ezer and six

I really enjoyed this clean romantacy! The story contains a unique magic system, new magical creatures, and a strong FMC who isn't overbearing.

Ezer is plucked from obscurity and brought to the front lines of a decades long war and given a special mission to tame a shadow creature and use it to defeat the evil Acolyte. She has caught the attention of the Kingdoms twin princes and forbidden love, betrayal, and her unknown past threaten to doom them all.

🫑 yearning, kissing, and a fade to black intimate scene that contains no descriptive details.

Unique story

I want to start by saying that this was an unusual experience for me. I typically have great difficulty reading books in third person POV, but I DEVOURED Raven Minder! My brain has a hard time processing these types of books normally. I don’t know if it was the storytelling/plot or if it was LC’s writing style, but I couldn’t put this down! I would literally be at work thinking about it and counting down the hours until I could pick it up again. It may have been the fact that I immersive read this as well (audiobook while simultaneously reading) that helped me to be able to read this. I might have just found myself a new hack for my brain and if so, I have LC to thank for it! My excitement to read this made me give it a shot!

As for the story—I loved Ezer so much and Six! There’s so much that started to be unveiled towards the end and a couple of unexpected twists that had me staying up late to finish! “Do it afraid” will be added to my own personal mantras as it just struck something deep inside that can’t not shouldn’t be ignored. I will be reading Eagle Minder and Fire Mage soon, but I also cannot wait to see more of this world and what happens next!

Couldn’t stop thinking about this book!

I feel this is my fault for this because I seen a new release and went in blind. So I didn’t know it was YA and closed door, or a love triangle. It’s really obvious who’s the filler and on top of that the narrator sounds like she’s talking with extra saliva in her mouth. I have audio issues and I’m aware but it was noticeable several times. Other than that it was a good book.
