Zane championed Earth to victory in the Beginning of the End. Now the final war looms, and he has just 100 years to power himself up to become an elite of all of Dragonspire.
He’ll start by finishing his journey through the legendary Ruins of the First Ones, where he’ll unearth the relics and steels necessary to build a world-class physique.
Then he’ll head to a land at the dawn of the ages, a land where the stars themselves were forged, and learn the secrets of the laws therein. There he’ll also participate in a fierce contest against all-time talents for some of the most coveted treasures in the galaxy.
But his enemies know he’s coming, and they know how just dangerous Zane is. The Overlord of Monsters will stop at nothing to assassinate him. And he’ll have to face down the incredibly talented Haxorax, First Prince of dragons, in a duel for the ages—a duel that has most thinking he’s finally bit off more than he can chew…
Don't miss this action-packed blend of LitRPG Apocalypse and Xianxia perfect for fans of Defiance of the Fall, The Primal Hunter, and Solo Leveling!

one of my favorite series

Savage Awakening 7 stands as one of my favorite books of all time. A seriously well crafted block in the skyscraper that this story has become
I've seen people disliking the narration which I strongly disagree with. Christian J Gilliland blew it out of the park as always. His unique voice and approach to the different characters is fantastic and it didn't feel like he was whispering or dragging at all. Fun side note: Out of the 3 other series's he's narrated that I have listened to, there has yet to be a character that is delivered like another he's done. Huge strength of his that I don't see in many other voice actors.
Story wise, fantastic. Everything I hoped for in a massive training arc and setting up the final war arc. My biggest gripe is when it ends. It really feels like this one should have ended at the end of the next arc with The Barbarian Sage to cap off training before the final war. Starting what I assume might be the final book in the series with a training arc before getting into the war feels off to me, but it works. I'm just glad we finished off an arc at the end and not in the middle of one like the previous book.
It brought out tons of little details from the early parts of the story that ultimately have been either retconned or forgotten about like the stats for example. Loved every bit of that kind of stuff!
The little Evan and Avery side quests were fantastic as always. One of my favorite parts of the book was figuring out that Evan just straight up played a Pokemon Platinum Ironmon run in real life as a part of this 100 year side quest. Fighting Cynthia at the end with an "earth dragon" at the end is just so fun.
The gradual change in character relationships over the years from four friends trying to save the world as equals to Zane and Reyna parenting two teenagers was fun too, if a bit overemphasized.
I loved all the work put into developing Zane not only in physique and law, but as a character. In other books he's built up around his main gimmick and not much else, but here he really comes into himself as a person more so than in the rest. Neat stuff!!!
The time shenanigans with Naught Fire were really great. I only wish the twist wasn't nearly as obvious from the get go. I can appreciate making it clear to us but not the character though. Made for some really fun moments.
I am really looking forward to 8. I can't decide whether I want this series to continue after the war in the greater universe or not. From a story perspective, it really should just end after the war, but it's got the foundation to run with all these concepts far out into the future. I just don't know where the story could go in any meaningful direction beyond finding where the Savage Sage Title came from.
Thanks to Christian for the incredible Narration and to Adastra339 for the yet again masterpiece!!!
