training? no idea about coins?

idk if ill keep going.. not even half way and its already boring stupid. mc is sheltered. how many books start this way. way to many. I have already skipped many parts as its very predictable. Just once id like to see a smart mc not always so stupid its a children story.

absolutely amazing

this book was right up my alley if you love the frith guild books this one hits perfectly. I couldn't set it down, I have a new series addiction I can't wait for the next one!!!

Underwhelming

I just reached chapter 25, so almost halfway through and I have some gripes, I enjoyed the original Frith Chronicles and the sequel at Astra Academy but the quality there is not replicated here. The book isn’t bad but the MC is hugely incompetent, not always by his own fault since he’s literally lived in a hole in the ground for half his life, but he’s lacking in common sense. He keeps talking about how he hates undead creatures because a bad guy had an undead eldrin, fine, he keeps saying he hates the pirates who attacked his village and killed his mom, understandable. YOU CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL YOU GET STRONGER, SO GET STRONGER AND STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THINGS YOU HAVE NO POWER TO CHANGE!!!!!

Fantastic Book and Story!!

This is such a fantastic book and the story really grabs you into the fantasy adventure. The narration of it was very well done! I cannot wait for books 2 and 3 to come out, and I really enjoyed all the other books set in this fantasy world!

I love the Frith Chronicles and all of the books in the universe. I was a little shocked about the pacing in the beginning, but with the knowledge I have about the world of Vardin, it was easy to follow along! I’ve been waiting for this audiobook to come out, and it didn’t disappoint.
