My god

This was even better on audio! I'm apart of Lyras Arc team and now ALC. And boy oh boy this was excellent! The narrators were excellent! The burn burned and man the story I read finally came to life in my ears!

One of my favorite reads!

I absolutely love this book, and considering I dont like age gap thats saying something. I really enjoyed the audio as well. I like the female narrator a bit more than the male narrator but both were good, and it was an enjoyable experience listening to it. Below is the review I left after reading the book for the first time. And rereads and listens just make me love ot more!

First let me start by saying though this is an age gap, it’s not super noticeable with the characters. Lexi makes a couple of comments about his age, but other than that it wasn’t a big plot point. So if you’re someone who isn’t usually a fan of age gap (I’m not usually a fan) still give it a try. That being said this is my absolute favorite book that I have read by Lyra. All of the characters are fantastic and I’m cursing her name for making us wait a year to get our hands on Carlee and Weston’s story. Though it was nice to go back to Valentine for bit, and a teaser for Remi and Cash (which despite it being an age gap I’ll have to read it).

Easton falls extremely hard and fast for Lexi. I love how all his chapters have how long he has known, her as well the story behind it. Easton is willing to do pretty much anything for Lexi including being late. The way he calls her darling from pretty much the beginning is just so precious. And if you live for a my wife moment like I do, this is great book for you.

Lexi is anti-love at the start of the book, and she has very valid reasons for it. She is pretty honest about it, but of course Easton makes it impossible for her to stay that way. She may have needed a bit of help to determine what love really felt like, but she got there eventually. Once realized what was happening she did embraced it.

I really loved how much time was spent on Easton and Lexi developing their relationship. We got to learn little bits and pieces along the way, it just felt really organic. Easton had no problem showing Lexi how he felt, and the ways she was different from all the women he had previously dated. The way Easton tried to fulfill Lexi’s bucket list items was perfection. He also didn’t shy away from her brothers and that whole scene was great, especially since we got to enjoy a glimpse into some of the Valentine men.

Honestly I just really loved this book a lot. The characters were great (leaving me wanting that second book desperately), the story flowed nicely, and there wasn’t a 3rd act breakup. I just really loved this book, I was never bored and I didn’t want it to end. It’s definitely in contention for my top read of the year.

Great start to this series!

From the moment Easton and Lexi ran into each other there was a spark and it was something that neither of them really expected. This is a SLOW read in terms of sexy times. They don’t get frisky until the 80% mark or so, but when it happens, let’s say it was worth it! Easton is a deliciously smart, sexy, reclusive, introverted, billionaire who's set to overtake his family business. The only problem? He can't take it over unless he gets married before his birthday... which is mere weeks away. Enter Lexi and his eventual proposal to help him save his family's company and all of its employees by marrying him for one year. In exchange? A few million bucks. What a fun and feel good, slow burn romance between two very opposite people who just work well together. I really enjoyed their build up from friends to something more.

Pretending to be married is so complicated!

Okay, fellow romance addicts, buckle up because I just devoured The Wife Situation! This one? Near perfection. I stretched it out over three glorious, slow-reading days because I simply didn't want Easton & Lexi's journey to end.

Easton Calloway, our very rich, very alpha hero, needs a "wifey pronto" for a year to seal his CEO deal. And who does he pick? Our sassy, broke actress, Lexi. My initial thought (and probably hers!) was "eff off," but hey, a cushy penthouse and millions for a year of pretend marriage? A girl's gotta eat, even if it means fighting scorching chemistry with a man who goes from professional on the streets to bad boy in the sheets, boldly calling his "little heartbreaker" his wife. Doable? Right? Right? Cue the maniacal laughter of all romance readers who know better.

If you're craving a billionaire, age-gap, marriage-of-convenience romance that prioritizes relationship development, delivers a scorching (if slow-burn) payoff, and leaves you with all the warm, fuzzy, happily-ever-after feels, The Wife Situation is a must-read. Go ahead, clear your schedule, cancel your plans, and embrace the magic!

Absolutely brilliant audiobook for one of my favs!

I don't know how any book boyfriend is going to top Easton Calloway. I mean, he knows what a book boyfriend is and embraces his woman's love of them. Swoon alert!

Easton and Lexi were absolute magic together! Her anti-love approach to relationships didn't stand a chance against this romantic, sweep her off her feet billionaire.

Their not so cute meet cute, "chance encounter" (IYKYK) was hilarious and the fact both of them were immediately feeling something let me know I was in for a treat, and Lyra Parish did not disappoint.

I was laughing, kicking my feet, and getting so excited for them as their relationship progressed, and I both never wanted it to end, and see how their HEA played out.

Amy Hall and Marcio Catalano brought one of my favorite couples to life in such an incredible way. Their storytelling was so perfect for Lexi and Easton. The audiobook was fun, swoony and spicy to boot. This duo was the perfect cast for The Wife Situation.

Lyra Parish will forever be an auto read author for me because her writing style and the found families she creates are literally genius and I can't get enough. Now...what's going to go down between Weston and his leading lady...I already know it's going to be epic!
