Antagonistic protagonist

Our heroine is abrasive and takes a lot of getting used to. She is not the usual likeable investigator in a cozy mystery. She has begun to soften by end of the story and will no doubt be more likeable in book 2.

Loved This Cozy Short Christmas Mystery

I LOVED getting to know our female main character and wish this could have been a little bit longer! I loved how Janis was the perfect person for the job! Although, I do have to say that if this had been real, there was no way that a chief would be okay with her just spilling her secret to the people she did. If she was truly undercover there is no reason for her to spill it. She would have needed to stay undercover so that she could suss out who was doing what without interference. Which kind of gave me the ick. Obvi this isn't real, but I would have hoped that the writer would have stuck closer to a real life scenario.

Great story. Love this small town.

Love the characters and small town charm. Can’t wait to read the next in series.

Short and Sweet

Liked that there was no beating around the bush, storyline was straight forward; no long drawn out narratives.
