(4.5 stars) - raising the stakes! 😉

Things are looking good for our heroes after the conclusion of book 1 - until they aren't. One complication follows after another, & things are turning out to be more interconnected than they realized! The will they/won't they scenes felt a tad forced at times, but the banter was enjoyable all the way thru - I can't wait to listen to book 3!

PS. The review criticizing Piper with her parents ignores how freaked out they are by all the info they were abruptly hit with out of nowhere. Of course they would be protective. While it's played a little heavy handed with the dad, it's obviously for comedic effect. And it's Noah who asks Piper to give them time to adjust to it all.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

Oh. My. Goodness. This book. Just. I love everything about it. The characters are all just amazing in their own way. Honestly, even the bad guy, haha. The story was so hard to put down, and had so much humor throughout! I legitimately laughed aloud MULTIPLE times throughout this book. Seriously, this series is already one of my top favorites ever. I cannot wait for the next book. I'll be reading these all over and over again, without a doubt!

Update: Just finished the audiobook, and it was fantastic! The narrator did a great job bringing the characters to life, and I absolutely ADORE the characters in this! Such a fantastic story! I can't wait for book 3 to come to audio!

Well written

I hated how Piper was such a baby when it came to standing up to her parents. She's 28, She lives on her own. She runs her own successful business. Why act like a scolded 12 year old?
