Holy fricken hotness, what did I just read? All Your Bloody Lies is book 1 in The Filthy Duet by M.L. Burns. Let me just say there is definitely a reason it’s called The Filthy Duet, because this book was deliciously filthy! If dark paranormal romance is your jam, then you need to read All Your Bloody Lies ASAP!

Xeraphine Nora has one goal, and that is revenge. Kairhyse Monroe has been tasked with finding the killer in a string of murders, what he was not expecting was for Xera to be the one committing these brutal murders. Xera has been on her own for over a decade now, she has one use for men and that is to feed but Kairhyse isn’t going to take no for an answer, he is determined to make her his Little Demon.

I absolutely loved this book! Xeraphine is a badass and I am here for her revenge, she deserves it. She is fierce, independent, and strong AF I loved her vibes. Kairhyse is a 6’7” vampire with a pierced 🍆 that also gives off cinnamon roll vibes, enough said! The two are a force to be reckoned with and their banter and spice was next level. Add in Xera’s cheerful, bubbly best friend, Sydni and this was an entertaining read from start to finish.

The narration, whew! I had to stop for a sip of water a few times, it is HOT! All Your Bloody Lies is narrated in duet by Savannah Thomas and James Cassidy. This was my first time listening to Savannah and she was phenomenal. She captured Xera’s black cat vibes flawlessly but then voiced Sydni’s cheerfulness so well, showing off her amazing vocal range. James has been a favorite of mine for awhile and he was fantastic as Kairhyse, he brought his growly, possessiveness to life so well but then performed his softer side that is reserved for Xera and Sydni perfectly. I can’t wait for more of these two in book 2.

I had so much fun with this dark, paranormal romance! The narrators brought the characters and all their nuance to life in such an incredible way. For such dark characters, it could be a challenge but they really added so much depth to their story and development it was hard to not fall in love with them or to be laughing or crying alongside them. Fantastic. I can’t wait for book two!

Audiobook is soo fucking good!! Well done! The gasps and kisses in between. The nuances are noticed. And the story itself is chefs kiss. Love the power and sex dynamic. Can’t wait for the second book.
