Monster. Liar. Thief. Killer.

I’ve been called it all and so much worse.

And they’re not wrong.

I’ve been running my whole life. Hiding from the monsters who haunt my dreams and who will tear me apart again and again if they ever find me. I live off whatever I can steal, trapped inside a fae prison city filled with pollution, sin and poverty. Humans have captured the Fae.

We belong to them now.

My scars make me a bad omen to my people, who shun and torment me at every turn.

Cyrus, the egotistical and frustratingly gorgeous leader of the fae under-city, can’t seem to decide whether he wants to kill me or claim me for his own dark and delicious desires.

And Reid, a dangerous and hypnotically beautiful human Authority Agent whose sole purpose should be to keep me in the dirt, has decided to keep me as his own personal Pet instead.

But when dark, demonic creatures start attacking, killing human and Fae alike, alliances must be made, especially when the monsters seem to be determined to find and slaughter me.

A dormant war is awakening, and the part I must play in it is only just becoming clear.

Do I stand and fight? Or do I strike the match and watch them all burn?

Lies of the Fae is book 1 in “The Stolen Fae series”. It’s a dark, urban-fantasy romance full of magic, danger, passion, and pain.

I am not one to do reviews on books, but I will tell you I have never been so immersed in a book then I have in this one. My heart was beating during this book. I had oh my gosh moments as well as had tears in my eyes. I was just overall totally involved during this whole book only took me two days to listen to. Book could easily be made into a movie. Excited and onto the next one can’t wait to see what happens with Cyrus Raven and Reid!

Oh Goddess what did I just listen to!?

Narrated beautifully. This story is not for the faint of heart. Definitely check authors trigger warnings. This is an incredible story that I blew through in 2 days. Dark and twisted our main character is incredibly well written and strong. The scenes are woven perfectly and story is fraught with tension. I will buy any new book from Lawrie without even reading a single review. She is incredible.

This book immediately sucks you in. I sat down and couldn't stop reading. Cyrus is my new favorite book boyfriend and Reid is pretty great too but the strength Raven continues to show despite all she is put through is my favorite part of the entire book. I can't wait to read the next one. I like to read and listen at the same time with the whisper sync feature on Kindle and this book has such incredible narration. It's a wonderful, dark, sexy, and incredibly emotional book. I highly recommend it.

Phenomenal, dark, sexy, and emotional. everything a good book needs.

I love M. J. Lawrie, her books are dark and twisted. The spice in this one wasn’t as heavy as I thought it would be it had a lot more plot than spice, which was great. The only thing I wish she would have done differently was give us multiple POV’s other than that I can not complain, this was a great story.

Amy Putt was PHENOMENAL! Her voices and acting, she brought this book to life. Wonderful performance.

Amazing 🌟
