Josh "the Shark" Altman has achieved extraordinary success in a traditional industry and in the most competitive real estate market in the country - all without being "discovered" or catching the proverbial big break. He worked for it. He figured it out. He failed. He learned. He wrote his own script.

The key to his success? Confidence - informed, intelligent, calculated confidence. Calculated confidence means training yourself in your chosen field, knowing it so well that you can trust your gut instincts to guide you toward the best possible option. When key opportunities present themselves, you are ready to seize them.

In It's Your Move, one of the stars of Bravo's hit TV series Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles shares invaluable and street-smart strategies for how to build your confidence, establish your reputation, master the knowledge you need to succeed, take the right risks, and course correct when you make a mistake. Drawing on his experiences negotiating multimillion-dollar deals and offering impeccable service to his celebrity and high-profile clients, Altman shows you all the right moves to help you become better, stronger, and more effective - whatever your profession or ambitions.

Alright Altman, I see you. I was a skeptic, but after listening to this I’m all-in. As a commercial real estate broker I was more listening out of curiosity, but I certainly wasn’t expecting actionable expertise and motivational business and life insights! So many incredible nuggets in this for any business… but anyone in sales who wants to up their game…. This. Where do we go from here? I think a frequent listen to this will open up some ideas and motivate me to expand my business and mindset. It’s your move!

Every #CRE broker: this is a must read

What an incredible book it really opened my mind to see that nothing is impossible career wise. We have to be persistent, hardworking, knowledgable and self discipline. Josh is the ultimate sales professional and that is what I am most inspired by.

This book is incredible. An absolute must if you are in real estate but still a lot of value if in another profession. I’ve listened to it 3 or 4 times now. Every time I pick up something new or reaffirm something from before.

I definitely recommend this book not only to people aspiring to work in real estate, but to anyone who's ready to make their next move and has some kind of fear holding them back. Josh pretty much tells it like it is, without sugarcoating anything, that way it needs to be told to make people realize they are capable of doing anything.

As a real estate broker, when I have watched Million Dollar Listing, I thought most of it was done more for dramatic effect. Hearing Josh tell his story in more detail, I think he’s the real deal. I read at least 25 books a year. Most of them business. This is just as good as some of the great books I’ve read. And you don’t have to be in real estate to get plenty out of it. Nice job, Josh.

Spot on.
