I woke and found myself in an ancient temple—naked, alone and without any memory of my past. Even the name my status screen displays—"Valerian Hawkblade"—is unfamiliar to me. It's a good name. A champion's name.

Fate joins me with a pair of adventurers searching the long abandoned temple. Nikita, a human warrior, and her friend Kazumi, an elven mage, are seeking a magic weapon to defeat Baron Skeg.

I pledge my aid in their quest for vengeance and together we begin a journey of leveling up, winning treasure, and upgrading our gear. Our path forward is dangerous as we battle savage beasts, restless undead, and formidable warriors.

As we adventure, I discover my rare ability as a Quester, which allows me to undertake divine Quests. These Quests promise bonus rewards for myself and my Quest Team, but they require courage and cunning to complete.

But will the bonuses be enough to level me up in time to defeat the powerful Baron?

The world I am in is full of magic, danger, and adventure with endless opportunities to win a place for myself. As I discover more about this mysterious world, I realize that it was no accident that I was awakened in the Temple of the Trickster God.

a great story to listen to

this is not like most of the coming pools the main character going to a new world. main character wakes up with no memory or knowledge of anything and has to stumble through all these new crazy experiences. it gathers around him a good group of people to help them and they learn that he is special in more ways than one

Great new ability/skill.

I love the new skill/ability of a Quest Master.
It really gives a new and fun spin in the HaremLit LitRPG genre.
Wonderful characters and skills and story.
I'm already impatiently awaiting book 2.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Great start

I really like the way this book is going. the store keeps you engaged. And really makes you wanna see what happens next. The voice actor was great.

A Treat

I've gotten way into LitRPG novels, and "Quest Master" was right up my alley! The fantasy elements, mixed with the delightful female companions, and the intriguing presence of the monkey trickster god lurking in the background made this super duper fun. The narrators did an exceptional job, bringing each character and scene to life, making the listening experience even more captivating. The touch of romance and deep friendships formed along the way add depth to the story. Looking forward to the next one.

Enjoyable Story, Questionable Reader

Overall, I liked the story. While it has many familiar LitRPG/Isekai elements, the ‘quest’ system was a fresh twist I hadn’t see before and I really liked it. The MC adapted a bit more quickly than is realistic, but who wants to read a whole bunch of chapters of a guy having an existential crisis anyways. Some of the fights were over a bit quickly, but perhaps that makes them more realistic and less unduly influenced by the ‘system’. My biggest issue was the reader and there were two areas of concern. The first is that he often speaks as if he went to the William Shatner school of enunciation (“There’s…something…out there…on the wing!’) which was frequently distracting. The other issue was some of his voices. I can’t put my finger on exactly the issue, but I felt like some of the peripheral characters has more complex voices than was really necessary. Still trying to decided if I should listen to or just read the next book.
