We've been bound by sharp edges and blood since the moment we met.

Greyson

I've sheathed my knives. I've buried my past. For ten years, I've refused to let anyone endanger my heart. Until a broken angel walks into my kitchen and makes me want to risk everything. She begs for sharpness and pain, and I'm tempted to ruin her entirely for daring to make me care.

When she's suffered enough, I'll show her why my destruction is all she'll ever need.

Angélica

Chef Greyson is hell-bent on tormenting me every chance he gets. He acts like he hates me, but slowly his cruel attention comes with a sweet edge that leaves me questioning everything. Soon, his hatred has me craving more. His harsh touch is the most delicious thing I've ever felt. And his kitchen feels more like home than anything ever has.

Grey is dangerous, but I find myself wanting to take his hand and dance on the razor edge of ruin anyway.

This is a dark and spicy romance that contains morally grey characters.

Tropes include: dark romance, enemies-to-lovers, stabby chefs, he's her boss, touch him and die.

Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.

This duet was outstanding. Gothic, steamy AF, and sarcastic wit.
The vivid development of Greyson from book 1 to 2 was brilliant. I felt like we truly got to witness his descent into darkness in book 1 through the lens of a romantic innocent in Paris. Then got to see his peek at the light when Angelica comes into his life in book 2. I appreciate that the author didn’t try to make him some born again “good guy”, but rather allowed him to embrace his sadistic side with FMC, while she provided him a necessary light through it.
The MMC was narrated PERFECTLY; while I struggled with the choice for the FMC. Her weird accent and cadence took me out of the story a few times, but I still enjoyed it overall.

I hope willow prescott has many more to come!

It was beautifully wicked
