Surprising!

This was a really fun and thoughtful slice-of-life romance! I especially enjoyed the commentary on how "inexperienced" adults are treated and/or perceived by other people and the job subplot. The only part of this book I didn't enjoy was the MMCs naivete about his tech and how it would be used by other companies...I didn't buy that for a second.

So happy I took a chance…

I purchased this book on a whim and found a new author that I look forward to adding to my rotation. The FMC and MMC character development made them so relatable. The author handled so many real topics with care and finesse like virginity, interracial adoption, friend dynamics, LGBTQIA+, and AI in the workplace. All that with just enough spice to keep it interesting.

As a digital marketer, I really enjoyed the real current debates about AI and what means for jobs done by humans. So relevant.
