All it took was one time.

One breakdown, and I ended up behind the locked doors of Bluebone Ridge Sanitarium.

Something is wrong here.

It whispers through the cracked windows, coils beneath the floorboards, and breathes in the frozen Washington air that never truly warms, even in the summer.

Something hungry.

At night, the screaming starts. I'm locked in like prey, and the dark watches with hollow eyes. When someone—or something—finally sets me free, it isn't a mercy. Because whatever haunted Bluebone Ridge followed me out. It's ancient… starving. And now it knows my scent and the taste of my blood.

He doesn't know whether to devour me or claim me.

But either way, I'm sure I won't survive unchanged.

Starve is an MF standalone, folklore-esque monster romance. It does not end in a cliffhanger and is intended for mature listeners.

Such a good story. It’s a bit different from the normal SPN stories we get. And the way she writes makes you feel almost as though this could actually happen irl. I always recommend her books, but this one especially. Narrator was a great choice too. Go listen to it now!

Per usual, AJ has outdone herself and I have enjoyed myself. I seriously don't know how she writes these characters in ways that I'm IMMEDIATELY infatuated with the story.
I would give one of my toes to the cursed for this story to continue.
Please just a little more porridge! Just a little for a poor lit'l beggah!
Sorry... that's how good this book is. I've gone mad and have resorted to begging for a second book to this story.

EEK!!!! LOVE AND NEED MORE OF THIS STORY

I loved how I could actually picture the scenes described in my head. It was everything I wanted and then some!

3.5⭐️ this book gave vampire cannibalism vibes. I didn’t hate it and it was definitely a unique plot which kept the story interesting but there were definitely some cringey parts. The writing was pretty good as well some parts were lack luster but I enjoyed it. I also listened to the audio and it was only a female narrator, no male which makes sense because it was only in her POV but some parts were very cringe when she would talk in a baby voice while like asking Cairo for something for example.

Some parts of the story were cringy but unique plot was interesting

Very slow moving. Reminds me of a Stephen King movie. When they are finally intimate the sex is hot!
