The clan of necromancers is busy doing what it does best: creating chimeras and killing the spawns of abomination.

But others have made a profitable business out of these threats to the world. In addition to mutants, Max Richter must also confront human monsters.

Good thing fighting monsters is his favorite pastime.

When rictor power up and was put into a trial. It originally said he was a magisterer and went up to levels.
And that he bypassed executor and went to I believe destructor he then powered up again, going through another trial and was supposed to go to the next one, but all of a sudden is now a executor.
It also stated that his weak granddaughter is also a executor.
Which seems improbable since she was only forced to do one trial base power up..
This clearly shows that whoever wrote the story or whoever proof we added it and may changes messed up.
Because they are not powering up richer, they are
Making him weaker. i believe it's magister, executor and then destructor and I can't remember what the next one was. But it sounded like destructive as well. Which is the one that rictor is supposed to be..

Great story overall. but inconsistent with power increase.

This Series Keeps Getting Better. Max is delightfully OP. while his power is still regenerating, he uses his brain and experience to position his growing Clan to come out on top in every situation. Love all the new pets and chimeras. Some of the side characters got fleshed out a bit more in this one, and a few more puzzle pieces are added to the mystery of the Downfall of the Richters. All in all, a great addition.

The narrator continues to struggle with female voices, but having recently listened to a truly terrible reader, this guy was a breath of fresh air.

Finally, my only complaint: I can no longer give a pass on the cliff hangers; so i'm removing a Star. Its not just that the author tacks on some deathly peril at the last minute (which would be bad enough); but she consistently spends the last 30-60 minutes setting up a new story arc, and then stopping the book just as the fun is about to kick off. It just feels like the last quarter of the book is chopped off and stuffed into the beginning of the next one. STOP IT. Your books are good, you don't need this ridiculous trick to get readers to come back.

This book should have ended when a certain gangster meets with the Mao clan; that would have given a nice teaser for the plot of the next book, and not cut off the story mid action.

5* Book!! -1 For Another Cliff Hanger

I don't know why I like this series. The main character is a Mary sue who succeeds at everything, but they put enough challenge in the world for him because he can't be everywhere at once. This leads in to some interesting political problem solving. The world building is good, and this one leads them outside the city, setting up for an entire new plan for the future. Very good, but it shouldn't be...

I still love this series

The book was just as good as the previous volumes. Not wanting to put the book down I flew through it even not getting enough sleep..

Just as amazing

As always, it was a good read; however, it is a bit short. I wish it were longer and more clan-building

Good
