He rejected me for “reasons”. Too bad for him. No take-backs.

Rosie

Fate made a huge mistake when she mated me to Cadoc Collins. He’s the heir apparent. I’m a scavenger. My people are so low in this pack, we don’t even rank.

I should have known better, but for one night, I let myself forget the facts of life in Moon Lake. Cadoc Collins might be powerless to resist me, but he’s not going to claim me, either.

A pink line on a stick makes it a much bigger problem than my bruised heart.

I’m 18, knocked up, and publicly rejected by the future alpha. And this baby in my belly? It might as well be a target on my back.

Lucky for me I’m a scavenger. My kind are good at finding things, but we’re great at getting lost.

Cadoc

The fate of Moon Lake rests on my shoulders. I can’t claim the scavenger female.

The pack is on the verge of a revolt, and a mating so controversial could push our warring factions into open conflict.

All I need is time. I’ll do what’s expected of me as our future leader, and when the politics are sorted, I’ll do right by the odd little scavenger.

I’m the heir apparent. She’ll be there when I’m ready.

Right?

The Heir Apparent’s Rejected Mate is a wolf-shifter romance. No cheating. HEA guaranteed. Intended for adult listeners only.

Cadoc is the heir apparent to to the shifter pack who works to act and integrate with the humans. There is a ranking in his pack, the ones in control (nods), the level below them who serve, and the scavengers who live in the bog and are the lowest and closest to their shifter nature.
Rosie, the apprentice to the ‘witch’ and a scavenger finds herself to be the fated mate to Cadoc - not a position she wants and not one he feels, because of duty, he can openly accept.
The inability of Cadoc and Rosie to deny their mating - nature and destiny - reflects the misunderstandings and wrong conclusions that can develop between people (shifters)
The storyline, the development of the relationship between Cadoc and Rosie…how those in different ranks treated one another or fed the incorrect impressions, the secondary characters and how survival and discovery if what true duty ( to your family or yourself) is, your own truth and self-awareness and love can be discovered if given a chance
I must say that I am always drawn in, entertained and dreading the end of every Cate C. Wells book. Also she picks the best narrators to tell her stories
I LOVE THIS SERIES…SO WORTH THE INVESTMENTS! I can’t wait for more!

Fantastic Story of Love, Duty and Self-Awareness

I would like it a bit spicier and I also think she forgave him quickly but to be fair she's pregnant in the wild and she starts to understand his view point which makes me more lax. she was hella sad and needed comfort and I do believe he loves her. Even when he screwed her over it was a miscommunication and his own cult-like origins. I could deffo deal with more spice tho.

good story, male voice sounds a bit off

I picked this book to start with from the series which makes me want to go start from number 1 now. It does start out very slow, not as many naughty scenes as I wished it had but the ones that did happen were written beautifully, the ending wasn't to my liking but the author did a great job with it even if I didn't agree. Overall a must read book I love the characters and the narrators were so freaking amazing they brought Cadoc and Rosie out with perfection. I highly suggest you read it!!!

Great Story and Narration

This book is unique. Rosie is so sweet and smart and genuine. I love her and her wolf. She's a badass. Cadoc makes me so mad, but I forgave him by the end. This book is so good. I don't usually like books that are this angsty, but I love The Heir Apparent's Rejected Mate so much. It's so well written. I read it for the first time a couple of years ago, and this story has stayed with me. I think about it all the time. This was my re-read and this time, I listened to the audiobook. The narrators are awesome. I really enjoyed listening to their performance.

So much Awesomeness! ❤️
