Fun New Entry in The Genre

The story was fun and refreshing. I look forward to more out of this series.

Not a single character stands out.

The MC is sort of an ass, but not really. The 1st female LI is kind of a bitch... but not really. The second LI is kind of sweet, but is mostly just meh.
The CEO is....
The dead best friend is heavy handed
The coke scene could have been a foundation for something but that goes no where.
Oh and the WALLS of descriptive text....
