Ski-Crossed Lovers by Allison Temple is about Austin and Cedric who have been friends most of their lives. They are also competing to go to the Olympics and win it in first and 2nd place. It has been their plan all along and they were on the cusp of making it come true. When Austin tells him he loves right after the World Cup it was like a dream come true for Cedric. I really loved this story and with Steve Love’s beautiful voice as narrator it was a gold medal on its own. Allison captured the sport so well you can feel the mountain air in your face, the elation of competing for a medal and falling in love with your best friend was always meant to be special.

I loved this audiobook!

I keep finding my new fav narrators through Allison Temple! I really enjoyed reading the book, and Steve Love’s narration brought something new (not just because I now know how “toque” is pronounced 😂)

On the story itself, these BFFs / rivals-ish athletes (I say rivals-ish, because while they are BFFs, they are competing against each other in the same sport) are such loveable dorks, and are so sweet. I enjoyed the flashbacks we get from when they first started out skiing, which sets the tone for their friendship, and then we get to see their relationship evolve.

We get one narrator, but each character gets their own distinct voice, which I loved. You know when Cedric or Austin are speaking, whose thoughts you’re listening in on - it just really was a lovely listening experience!

👯 Also, while the focus of the story is on the MMCs, Cedric and Austin, I also enjoyed their interactions with the rest of Team Canada, their coaches, and especially Tara the sponsorship / media liaison. Really love the cute cosy found family vibes.

I love all the beautiful messages in this story and I thought the performance by Steve Love was great.
If you like sports romance with friends to lovers than this will be right up your alley.
It was a quick, easy and entertaining listen for me.
Perfect timing with the Olympics here :)

This was my first story by the author and narrator and I am looking forward to more by both of them!

I absolutely loved this! I was invested from beginning to end! I definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a quick listen with a fun little lot!

It's easy to fall in skiing

The story itself it's amazing. I love the different skiing references. The friends to lovers.. omg the vocalist was mwah chefs kiss!
